Why did this pill cutter take third place?

This price is appropriate since the product is very well built. The material is incredibly nice to the touch. It has a great color, which will suit any wallpapers. I liked the design. We’ve been using it for 2 months and it still looks like brand new. It is inconvenient to use due to the size. I am going to get something different next time.

pill cutter Buyer’s Guide

If you keep the before points in mind, you can easily go out to the market and buy pill cutter, right? No!

Pillcut MULTIPLE PILL SPLITTER

For many consumers, the Multiple Pill Splitter is the best pill cutter available to date. Based on the product’s name, it’s easy to see why it’s such a big hit among users.

If you’re the kind of person who likes to cut up all your medication in one go so you can have them at the ready when it’s time for a dosage, you probably already know how tedious it can be to cut them one by one. The Multiple Pill Splitter eliminates that hassle, allowing users to cut as many as pills at a time. This doesn’t only save time, it also saves you the trouble. Plus, the ultra sharp stainless steel blade makes the entire process effortless.

When you walk into the store and find this product on the shelf, don’t hesitate to make a purchase. Whether you’re the kind of person who only needs to cut pills one at a time, or if you want to cut in bulk, the Multiple Pill Splitter is the best choice.

Cordless trimmers

Cordless models are battery-powered, so your movement isn’t restricted. They’re still fairly light, but make sure you pick one that carries enough charge to allow you to complete your work. Otherwise you’ll have to stop to recharge.

Petrol trimmers

A petrol trimmer gives you more power and endurance to deal with large areas and thicker grass. This is why most brush cutters are petrol powered. But they are heavier and noisier than other models and will also require more servicing.

Brush cutters

Brush cutters are the heavy-duty cousin of grass trimmers. They use a spinning blade made from either metal or plastic to tackle thick growth and vegetation.

They’re not made for careful tasks, so they’re not ideal for tidying your lawn. Brush cutters are best for areas such as under bushes, grass verges, steep banks, around ponds or streams, or for cutting back wild grass so it doesn’t encroach on your lawn.

They are, however, perfect for tackling lawns that have become seriously overgrown. You can use a brush cutter to cut back the grass to make it more manageable for a lawnmower.

One drawback of brush cutters is that because the blade is solid and more exposed, it can be easily chipped or broken if it strikes something hard. But replacement blades are available and easy to attach.

Single or dual line

Grass trimmers come with either one or two lines. Two lines provide faster cutting, but smaller, single line trimmers are fine for trimming grass on small, tidy lawns.

The more powerful the motor, the more trimming power. Electric motor power is measured in watts, cordless battery power in volts and petrol motors in CCs.

Generally speaking, for small lawns or for light use, not much power is needed. Electric models from 250Ws – 400Ws or cordless models with 1volts and above will be suitable. But for larger lawns, with difficult areas, more force will be required.

Running time & charging

If choosing a cordless model, ensure the battery will last long enough to do all the work, and check how long it takes to recharge after.

You could be carrying your trimmer for a long time if you have lots to do. Check your choice is light enough to carry comfortably for the duration. Some heavy models and usually brush cutters, will come with a carry strap.

Cutter guard

Many trimmers come with a guard that allows you to trim against trees, fences and other objects safely without the line coming into contact.

An adjustable head will rotate or tilt to help you to get the right cutting angle.

A model with reduced vibration will help take some of the strain and effort out of mowing.

Some trimmers can convert into an edger to give you a perfect cut across your lawn’s edges.

Cricut Maker

The new Cricut Maker can tackle almost any DIY project without breaking a sweat. This is mostly due to the improved design of the rotary blade and the expandable suite of tools. By getting your hands on this professional cutting machine, you can enjoy a new level of performance, working easily with hundreds of different types of materials.

From the softest fabric and paper to materials leaning more on the tougher side of things like leather, balsa wood, and matboard, the Maker smartly adapts to each kind of material for unleashing your ultimate creative potential.

The toolset offered by this machine is completely outstanding. You can more conveniently cut, write, and score a multitude of materials with an extra level of precision and control. Interestingly, Cricut doesn’t stop here as it offers the possibility for constant expansion by bringing more and more tools in time. As the master grows in its craft, so does the Maker.

One aspect that’s definitely a huge factor when you are evaluating the performance of any cutting machine is its precision. The Maker’s rotary blade doesn’t hold back one bit as it transforms fabric cutting in a simple task with customizable precision. You can execute professional-level cuttings right in your home on a wide variety of fabrics such as cotton, denim, and fleece. Without backing material, it quickly and accurately cuts through essentially any fabric.

The Adaptive Tool System is a feature of the Maker that smartly controls the direction of the blade as well as other aspects like the cut pressure so that it perfectly matches the used material. Cricut made some welcomed improvements in terms of cutting power so that more materials are now available to work with.

Little things like the extra built-in storage, the docking slot for smart devices, and the convenient USB port add up to make your DIY experience much more comfortable. The digital sewing pattern library contributes to an enjoyable crafting experience as you select from hundreds of patterns the one you like, send it to the machine to take care of the cutting and marking and after you sew it together, the job’s done.

A very novice-friendly machine, the Cricut Maker works flawlessly straight out of the box and is sure to be a big hit among many crafters and DIY enthusiasts. Considering how professionally this machine treats any cutting job and the multitude of features for making the process simpler, the cost is relatively low and for this reason, is fully recommended.

Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting Machine

It doesn’t too often happen to stumble upon such a reliable, performant and high-quality machine like the Cricut Explore Air Wireless Cutting Machine. Designed to cut from the basic DIY crafts all the way up to more complex projects, this vinyl cutter has a great potential to satisfy your needs.

The most striking feature of the Explorer is the wireless capabilities. It permits wireless cutting through the embedded Bluetooth technology.  You no longer have to mess around with unnecessary cords and your workspace will look less cluttered. Cutting is now basically possible through many devices connected to the machine, like a PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad from which you can send the projects. One bonus feature is the syncing across all these devices as apps are cloud-based.

Intended for home use, the Cricut Explorer will boost the creative potential of its user to incredible levels. Making all kinds of decorations, invitations or favors has never been easier. Add your personal touch to a wedding gift or some fancy embellishments to your most memorable photos. With more than 50.000 images, projects and fonts present in the Cricut Image Library, the possibilities are endless.

Cutting can be done on a variety of materials such as paper, adhesive vinyl and even tougher ones like leather. To simplify the creative process, the machine possesses dual carriage which turns procedures like cutting and scoring or cutting and writing in just one step. Having to remember complicated materials settings can easily become annoying but thanks to Explorer’s Smart Set dial you can now get just the right cut on virtually every material out there.

On the basis of all these powerful features, I am more than excited to recommend this high-quality product. It cuts precisely and efficiently and there are no complaints on its performance, especially when cutting vinyl this machine works flawlessly.

Silhouette Portrait

Smaller than a Cameo but offering great flexibility and decent performance, the Portrait from Silhouette is a very good cutting machine suited for all your creative endeavors. The material selection is very wide, it uses paper, vinyl, cardstock, fabric, chipboard and much more. In fact, it can cut over 100 materials, an impressive feat indeed.

If you are looking to make a very balanced investment than the Silhouette Portrait is very fitting being lightweight, simple to use, flexible and offering excellent quality for your everyday crafting needs.

If you’ve got an iPad older than the Air 2, the performance improvements of the 5th-generation iPad will feel more dramatic.

The iPad’s cameras, though not as good as those on the iPad Pro models, are otherwise the best you’ll find in a tablet. The eight-megapixel back camera lets you shoot panoramas, snap multiple photos in burst mode, and record slow-motion and time-lapse videos. You also get software video stabilization, though you don’t get the Pro models’ optical stabilization, camera flash, Live Photos feature, or wide-color photo capture. If you need a smartphone-class camera in a tablet, you’ll want to check out the Pro, but this iPad is fine for taking occasional photos in good lighting.

Conveniently, the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the iPad (like the mini and iPad Pro) include an Apple SIM that lets you choose your wireless-data carrier right from the iPad, rather than having to buy a carrier-specific version or get a carrier-specific SIM. It’s a minor thing, but it streamlines the process of setting your iPad up for cellular data.

Overall, the 5th-generation iPad is a fantastic device. Not everyone needs a tablet, but if you want something that’s easier to use than a laptop for watching media, reading, playing games, surfing the Web, and checking email and Facebook, with a screen that makes these tasks more enjoyable than using your phone, the iPad is as good as it gets at this price. It’s plenty fast, it’s easy to use, it has long battery life, and there are more apps and accessories for it than you could ever use.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

Compared with the iPad Air it replaces, the 5th-generation iPad does take a few steps back to achieve its lower price. Unlike the iPad Pro models, the 5th-generation iPad lacks an antireflective screen coating, and there’s more of a gap between the screen’s LCD display panel and the front glass. As a result, it can be a bit more difficult to read text under bright lights or in sunlight on the 5th-generation iPad’s screen than on the iPad Pro models. The screen is still very good—the difference isn’t huge, and the fact that the 5th-generation iPad’s screen can get a bit brighter than its predecessor’s alleviates this issue somewhat—but we wish you didn’t have to splurge for a Pro to get antireflective glass.

The iPad is also slightly larger and heavier than the iPad Air 2, though few people will notice those differences if they aren’t comparing the two models side by side.

If you absolutely need something smaller

The iPad mini is essentially the standard iPad in a smaller, lighter package with a nicer screen. If you don’t already have a big phone, it’s a very good small tablet, though it’s expensive for its size.

The iPad mini was originally released in fall 201It’s almost identical to the 5th-generation iPad in terms of components and features, but we think that the 5th-generation iPad’s much larger screen, better performance, and better value make it a better option for most people looking for a great tablet. However, the mini has some advantages over the standard iPad that will make it appealing to certain people.

The main advantage of the iPad mini is that it has a better screen than the standard iPad: As with the screen on the iPad Pro models, the mini’s screen has no air gap between the display panel and front glass, which means you get better clarity and less intra-display reflection. The mini’s screen also has a higher pixel density. The result is that the iPad mini 4’s screen, which also has an antireflective coating, is easier to use in bright light or sunlight and displays slightly sharper images than the screen on the standard iPad. The other advantage is the mini’s smaller size and lighter weight, which make it a bit easier to hold, especially in one hand.

Jump back.

Like the original iPad Air, the 5th-generation iPad is about 1.mm thicker and about an ounce heavier than the iPad Air If you’ve got a case for the original Air, it may fit the 5th-generation iPad, depending on the size and position of the case’s openings for the back camera and the volume buttons, which are in slightly different locations on the 5th-generation iPad. The only other difference in the body compared with the original iPad Air is the omission of the Air’s side switch (for mute or orientation lock), which was eliminated with the iPad Air 2.

Roku Ultra

Roku Ultra is our favorite streaming device because it really does have it all. It plays 4K video, complete with HDR support for the most realistic colors; it offers voice search via the bundled remote; and it provides easy access to more than 3,500 streaming channels. Add in fast quad-core performance and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi for silky-smooth streaming, and you have a winner.

Choosing the Right Barcode Printer

Thermal based barcode printers provide a very economical way to create high quality labels, tags, wristbands, receipts, and tickets. Compared to other printing technologies, thermal-based options require less maintenance, have less expensive media, and print faster while maintaining excellent print quality.

Knowing how you’ll be using a printer will help you decide what type, print method, and other features you’ll need. Understanding and going through the following features will help you determine the best printer for your needs.

Industrial

Industrial printers are larger and more rugged than desktop models for high volume print applications. From a couple thousand labels per day to printing all day long, these printers are designed to hold more media and there are models that support printing from.5″ to over 8″ wide. You’ll find printers like the Datamax I-420in manufacturing and distribution centers as well as large retailers. If you are printing any type of media in large volumes, industrial label printers are your most reliable option.

Wristband

Even though standard label printers can also create wristbands, a dedicated wristband printer offers several advantages and a lower overall cost. For applications that are making wristbands every day like hospitals, theme parks, and concert venues, a dedicated wristband printer is the perfect fit. While other printers have their media on a roll, wristband printers have cartridges that simply drop into place to keep you printing with almost no downtime. These printers also have a higher print resolution standard for clear, accurate printing of images or logos. Added to this, most models have a special anti-microbial case to meet the demands of any healthcare environment. If you need custom printed wristbands on a regular basis, a dedicated wristband printer like the Zebra HC100 will be the most efficient and easiest to use solution.

Ticket printers are another specialized thermal printer that excels at printing on thicker paper for ticketing applications. If you are making tickets for concerts, festivals, or any other type of event, a dedicated printer will help you make them faster with less hassle. Since most tickets come in a fan-folded stack instead of rolls, these printers have a taller case to accommodate more stacked media. They can also still use roll media but with a larger stack of tickets you will spend less time reloading the printer. These printers also have an opening on the back of the case to easily feed ticket stock externally. Models like Datamax ST-32are a high performance option for demanding ticketing applications.

Direct Thermal

Direct thermal printers utilize heat-sensitive media that blackens as it passes under the printhead. Because they print without a ribbon, direct thermal printers are noted for their simplicity. Direct thermal printed labels typically have a considerable shelf life but are not well suited for environments that expose them to heat, long periods of direct sunlight or abrasion. Because of this, thermal labels, tags or ticket stock are often top coated to resist these elements. Direct thermal printing produces sharp print quality with good scan ability using only one consumable. For any short term labeling application, like shipping labels, direct thermal is the most efficient print method.

Thermal Transfer

Thermal transfer printers use a ribbon, similar to a fax machine, which is melted onto the label by the printhead. This method makes it easy to use label materials beyond paper including synthetic materials, like polypropylene and polyester, for outdoor and harsh environments. Beyond the added durability, thermal transfer printed media also has a very long shelf life making it perfect for product labels, asset tags, and outdoor wristbands. Since you are using a ribbon, you also have the option to change the color of your print beyond just black. With the right combination of labels and ribbon, you can make a label for any environment or application. Though it does cost a little more to print thermal transfer media, the added benefits ensure your label or tag is readable throughout its life without ever needing to reprint.

Antennas and DVRs

Before we get to into the apps/hardware you need to make it as a cord cutter, consider what you can still get via over-the-air (OTA) broadcast.

While you can watch much of what’s available on the major networks and several cable channels using streaming apps, you simply can’t get it all. That goes especially for the major networks, most of which require you to log in with your pay TV information to watch online.

Before you jump on the antenna train, determine if you have over-the-air HD as an option in your home. Visit AntennaWeb or TV Fool for a listing of the stations broadcasting near you. If you can position your antenna facing the nearest broadcast transmitter, all the better.

Just don’t be surprised if you don’t get access to any stations, or to only a few. It happens.

You probably want amplification, unless you’re living next door to the local broadcast tower. They don’t make the signal stronger coming in the house; they make an already low signal strong enough for the TV tuner to use. Even some of the flat antennas have amplification options; but amplification ups the cost. Setup is easy, but you’ll have to play with the antenna position to maximize reception—just like fiddling with rabbit ear antennas in the 1970s. Some outdoor antennas can work from inside if they’re up high—say in your attic—if there isn’t a lot of obstruction.

YouTube Red

If YouTube is a staple of your cord-cutting experience—and with millions of hours of video uploaded every second, it probably should be—then maybe this paid experience will be to your liking. After a one-month trial, bucks a month gets you completely ad-free YouTubing—plus access to original shows behind the paywall. These aren’t TV shows in the classic sense, but originals created by YouTube stars. YouTube also partnered with big names like Eminem and Katy Perry, as well as the Sundance Film Festival. You also get access to YouTube Music and Google Play Music. Don’t confuse it with YouTube TV, which we discuss below.

CBS All Access

When you’re the No. TV network, you get to do your own thing. That’s why CBS launched its own streaming service. You get one week to try All Access free before the fee is applied.

That six-or-nine bucks a month gets you access to some of the most popular shows on TV the day after airing, including The Big Bang Theory, Mom, Elementary, Survivor, Amazing Race, even daytime shows. There are also a few thousand old TV shows streaming here, such as Cheers, all the versions of Star Trek (the rights are owned by the CBS Corporation), Brady Bunch, The Twilight Zone, and Hawaii Five-0. You can insert your own joke here about how the Tiffany Network is for your grandparents, because I already made mine above.

Showtime

You could pretty much assume that if HBO is going to do a standalone streaming service, so will its rival Showtime (owned by CBS). If you’ve already got Showtime via your cable or satellite subscription, that’s all you need to watch it streaming—it’s called Showtime Anytime (it may be limited by who your provider is).

Cricut 200029Cuttlebug Machine:

Choosing the Cuttlebug Machine as the best cricut machine is a great investment if all you need is a small machine for your paper craft projects. It is a handy little machine that will not let you down. For all your greeting card embossing, scrapbook collection, embossed cards, and other easy to make paper products, this machine is your best bet.

Highlighted Features

With your machine, you will receive a standard blade holder, a standard blade, a holder for the deep cut blade, standard and low track mats measuring 1by 1inches, a spatula, and six color pens.

The combination of style and versatility may easily make this the best die cutting machine that suits your purpose. Also, the Sizzix 66042measures about 1¼ by 13/by 5/inches and includes rollers made of solid core steel and gears made of solid steel. The exterior is made of ABS plastic for long-lasting use. A great feature of this flexible machine, also, is that it works well with dies from other brands.
